An ambitious drama depicting modern day social media addiction.

Unfortunately, it was never completed due to budget constraints.

Utilizing New York as its backdrop, Pitapat is a suspenseful drama that depicts modern day's social media addition and teenage issues.

The story focuses on a 21-year-old Instagram influencer January, who gets tangled into a series of outrageous events, leading to an unexpected vanishing of her "publicity"  boyfriend. It points out the serious impact of social media on a person's private and public lives.

A Collaboration Between Two Colleges

This was a collaboration between the passionate acting students from Pace University and the talented film students from The City College of New York. The project was done out of class curriculum, meaning we were totally lacking support from our school faculties. We believed the importance of this film as it depicts how intensely people of our age would utilize social media. However, without any financial support or guidance from our schools, we started a crowdfunding page to seek help in the making of this film.

Risks & Challenges

Due to the fact that the film was going to be shot in NYC, location management became the main obstacle that we had to overcome. We had to either do an extra amount of paperwork or to pay an unbelievably high amount of money.

Prices of equipment rental were also significantly higher in NYC than in other states. We have once spent $3,000 on some basic lighting equipment for three days. That was why we deeply rely on the crowdfunding in order to help complete this film that was waiting to be brought to life.

We have shot and edited a small portion of the film and put it on our crowdfunding page.
